I am selling my 1984 Dodge Ramcharger 318 V8, 4WD with automatic locking hubs. It has 144,550 miles on it as of this listing. I did a tune-up including oil and oil filter change, coolant change, spark plug change and engine bay clean prior to putting it into storage.
VIN#: 1B4GW12T6ES222318
Prior to putting it in storage about two years ago where it has sat until about a week ago, this was my daily driver for nearly four years. In that amount of time I had no major problems with this truck; the engine still runs like a beauty.
Perks:
- ULTRA-RARE four-speed manual transmission!
- Just passed smog on June 26th with flying colors, also recieved it's brand new tags on June 27th which are good through Feburary of 2009. I have all of the paperwork available.
- DEQ pass was amazing! For this year, make and model 1% CO is allowed and the truck put out .051% O_O That's a good engine right there! I have all of the paper work to back this up.
- Back seat is in very good condition.
- Engine runs very well and is super-strong. Slight oil leaks but the engine delivers where it counts. I mean hell after sitting for two years it started right up and passed smog without coming anywhere near any of the limits.
- Comes with full-size car cover and spare tire.
- NO RUST. This truck is completely rust free.
Cons:
- Body and paint has been "well-loved". The front-end damage does not hurt the drivability of the vechile, just the cosmetics. There are numberous dings, dents and scrapes along the body.
- Tires will need to be replaced soon.
- Top vent on the back of the truck is broken, but apparently that's the case with 99% of these vehicles.
- Clutch releases too far from the floor and will need to be adjusted. Otherwise clutch is good and grippy.
- Roof liner is coming apart.
- Has been in two accidents. One was major; I totalled the Honda I hit by rolling over it after losing control in some ice. Luckily it was parked and no one was hurt, this is the souce of the damage to the front end of the truck. Again, there is no mechanical damage to this vehicle, only cosmetic. The second accident I pulled out of stopped traffic to change lanes and ended up bumping into the guy in front of me going less then 2mph. I ended up busting his tail light lens cover. Other then that, no damage to either vehicle. I'm not even sure if that second one is going to show up in a CarFax report.
I have tried to be as up-front and honest in this listing as possible. The ol' girl needs a little work and a new home where she can get that TLC she needs. Please give me a call if you have any questions at all!
I AM ASKING $600 OBO. That is a steal for a vehicle like this that has just passed smog and just been reregistered. She might not be good to look at, but she has been well cared for and is a very trusty steed. Would make an excellent trail truck! In fact, that's what I wanted to turn her into but I just don't have the time anymore.
